This comic is basically done, but if you have any suggestions on how I could make a better title or tweak the wording, let me know. My main concern is that I’m trying to expose the hypocrisy, not participate in it. I think the comic might be misread/misunderstood.

There is plenty of hypocrisy to pick from. I’m having trouble with this comic for several reasons and none of them seem to be about the point of the comic. Is the teleprompter the issue? can’t it be more of a present doing X like supporting social security. there is no preface here to set up the situation and make it known that your point is to show hypocrisy, like hey young republicans, can you spot the difference?”. you don’t state republican view of Y and that makes a huge difference. quite frankly you could show this at a klan rally and they would be “yeah, that’s right.” better to have a clear, stronger scenario that sets up from the start the issue of hypocrisy than have any misreading–whatever that misreading is.

I’m not sure I have input about this. It’s something I would have to think about and digest more.
Was there something that happened in which Obama was referred to in this manner or is this a generally commentary on people who hate on people who are black?
I imagine it would take away from your point to have “President N*gger” using the teleprompter.
I totally read this as teleporter without looking carefully at first.
I can see the comic as being misread.
Perhaps some preface, like Mark! suggests, like, “How close-minded individuals spot the difference” or something that offers clearer commentary.
If everyone who sees this knows all your other comics, it will be clear you’re not referring to the President this way, but if they see this in a vacuum, it may be totally misread.

I guess the good news is that you guys never heard about Teleprompter-gate. I thought about including my write up, but I figured you might already know that many on the right-wing make fun of Obama for using a teleprompter (i.e., Obama is so stupid he needs a teleprompter). Ultimately, it may not work without the longer explanation.
